Ensure that you and your passengers are safe and sound and free of injury. If possible try to ensure that your vehicle is not causing an obstruction or danger to other road users.
Obtain the name, address, telephone number and vehicle registration of the other person involved in the accident. If there is more than one vehicle involved then obtain the details of all the drivers involved. If any driver has details of their insurance company then obtain their insurers name and policy number.
If there are any witnesses try and obtain their names and addresses and telephone numbers. Stay as calm as possible. Do not make any admissions as to who was to blame. This can be resolved afterwards.
